Covenant & the Patriarchs
God's covenant with Abraham — to bless him, make him a nation, and through him bless every family on earth — is given to a man with no children and no map to the promise. Isaac and Jacob inherit not a finished plan but an ongoing relationship, complete with doubt, deception, and wrestling. The patriarchs teach us that covenant faithfulness is God's doing far more than ours.
